Here's my crackpot theory: Maybe the Betty Crocker cookbooks editors were men
who were still bitter about that pesky Eve absconding with one of Adam's ribs back in the Garden of Eden. That's
the only reason I can think of for the obsession with "manly" rib recipes. Oh, sure, the occasional "Lamb Chops with Minted Fruits" recipe is thrown in, perhaps to fill up space while another scrumptious rib recipe was being developed, but believe me, when it comes to meals men like, it's all about ribs. |
